extra stuff goes here. anyways, i decided to toss up a few of the earlier concept sketches. heh. i'm looking for some even older ones... kinda... drawn funny. (oh, the horror!)

- it's the very first group pic of ascending heaven i ever drew! like 3 years ago! oh boy...

-these are some of the first sketches i ever drew of julian, dryas and lyanka back when i was just starting the story... back in... uh... late 2001-early 2002. dryas was supposed to wear more jewelry but i've noticed that he gets more causual as the story progresses. kinda interesting.

-earlier concept sketches. the first is a sketch of julian. the next is a chibi contrast of julian and his twin lucian. the next is a pic of the 2 when they were younger. i devolped these guys at the same time, and were pretty much the first characters i thought of.

-these were 2 unfinished pages from earlier- chapter 5. after julian gets pissed off at vaughn and leaves... the script had julian running into lyanka in the living room. then they talked and she freaked about him being a mob thug. the first page is only partly inked. the second one is finished, that is what a page looks like when i scan it in. most of the magic is pixel pushing, really.

of course, the script changed to julian talking to vaughn, coming back into the headquarters and apologizing for being an ass. rather different. he might get that talk with lyanka yet, however.
